Napa Valley is known for its fine hospitality offerings including fine wines (nach), gourmet cuisine, and luxury accommodations. With the opening of the missionary Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa ValleyVisitors to the green enclave of Northern California can now find all these traits in one great place.
At the northern end of the valley in charming Calistoga is the new Four Seasons hotel where the feel of “Napa As It Was” gives you a great reason to unpack and simply stay – the best of rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Everything one could ask for and want in a wine country visit can be found at the property – from on-site wine tasting Elusa Winery & Vineyard, to pamper spa treatments at Talisa Spa, to the best in seasonal prices at TRUSS Restaurant + Bar.

With views of the Palisades Mountains and neighboring vineyards, the resort is intimate but its seemingly secluded location makes it feel spacious. Surrounded by Elusa’s organic vineyards, 85 rooms and suites are from which acclaimed winemakers Thomas Rivers Brown and Jonathan Walden have created elegant and luscious varieties that can be sampled inside the winery’s elegant tasting spaces or at TRUSS. Due to Brown’s effort over the past several years anticipating the opening of the resort and winery, Elusa is fortunate to debut with a library of wines dating back nearly a decade. (If you have the opportunity to sample 2012’s Elusa Cabernet Sauvignon, go for it.) Extremely limited quantity of Elusa signature wines can also be delivered in the room. Resort guests are also invited to explore the winemaking process from harvesting and sorting to blending and aging, with hands-on presentations and opportunities to meet winemakers.

There are two outdoor swimming pools, one for families and one for adults, flanked by a regulated bocce ball court, and a small fleet of free beach cruisers allow you to explore the area’s art galleries, artisan shops, farmers markets, restaurants, and cafés.

The design of the rooms and suites was carried out by Hirsch Bedner Associates; Those on the first floor have a wine cellar-like ambiance in cool, dark colors and low light, with large glossy white bathrooms featuring bathtubs. Upstairs rooms are mirrored – a crisp white design with black tiled bathrooms. All rooms feature fireplaces, private furnished terraces, fully stocked mini-bars and an exquisite Four Seasons bed. Regardless of the worldwide location, the Four Seasons bed ensures a decadent sleeping experience.

Open for all-day fare is the TRUSS Living Room, where guests can share snacks and small plates like Napa Valley Crudites or its namesake. Living room pizza is made pub-style with hot dogs and pickled Nardello peppers. The upscale TRUSS restaurant will open soon with an extensive menu of local cuisine. TRUSS also features an illustrative kitchen for private and group classes in Mixology, wine pairings or gaucho-style cooking over an Argentine wood-burning stove.
For more casual, alfresco dining Campo PoolsideNestled between the resort’s two pools overlooking the vineyards, it serves delicious Mexican cuisine and festive libations such as “Short Beak, Long Tail” made with tequila infused with cucumber, lemon, orange aloe vera, and a habanero tincture that renders visually. While every component of this beautiful new resort is worth swooning alone – including the local craftsmanship that adorn the walls and tables – it’s the welcoming and elegant service, fueled by gracious and accommodating staff and ready to cater to every holiday craving, that makes Four Seasons Resort and Residences Wadi Nappa is greater than the sum of its parts. There is no doubt that visitors to Napa Valley have the option of luxury accommodations; There is also no doubt that Four Seasons service is simply unbeatable.
