‘Halo Infinite’ adds custom Slayer playlist on December 14

One of the most popular multiplayer modes in the Halo series is coming infinite aura Sooner than you expected. as Windows Central Notes, 343 Industries Community Head Brian Jarrard has confirmed that the custom Slayer playlist will be coming as part of the update on December 14. This would be a “base” mode instead of the 343 variants he wanted to release after the holidays, but the developers planned to “enhance and expand” them in the future.

The Slayer playlist comes along with three already pledged options which include Fiesta, FFA and Tactical Slayer (SWAT). The December 14 update will also remove or mitigate requirements for existing challenges while adding more to accompany the new playlists. There is a new challenge category based on a player’s score that is supposed to better reflect your in-game performance, although it is described as an “initial step” toward experience points based on real performance.

This addition won’t satisfy fans who are still waiting for promised features like the co-op campaign or Forge, which won’t arrive until mid-2022 at the earliest. However, the release of the Slayer playlist shows that 343 is keen to entice those enthusiasts as quickly as possible, even if it means removing some extras.
