LG is set to show two modern TVs with unusual designs at CES 2022, one of which is the recently announced premium OLED Evo TV with a motorized cover. the other? It’s a smaller wireless TV with a built-in battery called StanbyME that you can slide in and out of any room in your house. The 27-inch monitor is mounted on a trolley with hidden wheels, and you can adjust its height to customize its position for whatever you’re using it for. You can also rotate and rotate its screen to portrait or landscape orientation.
In its announcement, LG said that because you can adjust its position as needed, you can use it in your kitchen while you’re cooking, in your bedroom, or on the sofa while lying down. And you can, unless you plan on not getting up for hours to enjoy your favorite series – the TV only lasts three hours of watching before it needs to be recharged.
Despite this limitation, you can use StanbyME to view any content you want with the apps it supports, which include Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video. You can also take advantage of the possibility of mobile screen mirroring with your Android or iOS phone and NFC. The model has a removable mount on top, so you can use it to make video calls or attend online classes. In addition, you can use it as a monitor for your laptop or PC via wireless connection or with USB or HDMI.
The model will come with a remote control that you can use to navigate, but it will also be able to recognize touch commands and gestures. LG also says it has a unique US “designed for the viewer’s personalized viewing experience.” The manufacturer hasn’t explained what they mean by that, but we’ll definitely find out in January at CES.
