I wish I had a solution like Logitech Litra Glow when I started buying odds and ends to build my perfect desk lighting condition. It took me a few years to land on my current video chat and live streaming setup, and that was after a bit of trial and error. Even then, sometimes it feels like overkill to have a tripod out in the open I simply sit at my desk, taking calls.

Litra Glow is part of the Logitech for Creators lineup, which includes brands like Blue Microphones (which makes the highly popular broadcast microphone Yeti). However, Litra Glow is bound to come in handy beyond the creative types, as many of us continue to work from home (still? forever?) They are tired of appearing like trolls.

I like the Litra Glow because of its relatively small size. It’s modest enough that you don’t need a dedicated tripod or area on your desk to support it. It installs on any monitor, like the webcams that come with Logitech. It’s also only $60 including a tripod. While it costs a little more than some of the other options you can findLogitech has made YouTube-wide lighting easy to use and accessible.

Quick and easy setup

Litra Glow is basically a well-supported, frameless selfie light. strap Logitech’s TrueSoft technology, which claims to Provides ample light for each skin colour. It has a built-in screen mount A 4-inch vertical telescope and a 2-inch horizontal extension are available. The light is also located on a 360-degree swivel top, so you can flip it back and prop it up according to your lighting needs. Or you can keep flipping it over to remove it from the monitor stand and mount it on a tripod instead.

The Litra Glow also features a 5-foot USB-C to USB-A cable for connection to your computer. This makes it affordable for some older systems, but you’ll still need USB 3.0 to run.

If you have ever used a Logitech productYou know they are beautiful easy to use. The Litra Glow is as simple as plug and play from the back. You can probably buy this at the last minute if you need to and turn it on minutes later for a video chat. You don’t even have to use the Logitech G Hub if you don’t want to, because The Litra Glow’s temperature and brightness sliders are available on the back of the light (on either side of its power button).

If you want more customization, you can head over to the Logitech G Hub to start tweaking things. You can adjust the brightness up to 250 litersumens max. You can also vary the color temperature of the Litra Glow, anywhere between 2700K and 6500K, which is a full spectrum.

Logitech offers temperature presets in the software, which can help you navigate the different lighting situations available. You can also set up your own configuration as you like and save it in the app.

I want to take a second to warn you about strange Logitech software fragmentation among its extensions. I understand that each app is for a specific group, but I stare at three different Logitech icons in the Start Menu whenever I search for them. if Want to avoid getting upset?Make sure to stick with the devices on the Logitech for Creators list or make sure they use the G Hub software.

I am currently using D50, which I converted several years later with a file Neewer Round Selfie Light I got it on Amazon. Neewer started blinking slightly, causing headaches from time to time. I couldn’t watch the live stream sometimes without having to lie down afterwards.

Fortunately I don’t have these issues with Dazzne, but I sometimes get overwhelmed by the amount of space it takes up and have to plug it into an outlet to light myself up on the camera. Litra glow is less than Thing To handle it at any moment, and it’s thin enough that I can fit it in a drawer when I need to reclaim some space.

after Logitech Litra Glow sent me to try it out, I pulled the blackout curtains and turned off the mood lights to see what that light could do. At maximum brightness, tThe warmer light made the result look like it happened in an antique, while the whiter light appeared almost artificially—like a flashlight in my face. The best lighting was that just right Medium bit, between 4500K and 5000K on the spectrum slider.

If you’re already facing a window with plenty of light when meeting or recording yourself, you may find Litra Glow redundant. I found that if it was a really sunny day, the extra light would make me look dull in front of the camera. But it can help color correct on a gray day, especially if you’re looking to add a little warmth to your environment.

I also have a file blame cube, which I use to subtly light up photos, but I’m not a fan of its user interface. Sometimes the trigger hold mechanism is the last thing I want to deal with when I need to take a picture, and having to hold the temperature slider can be tedious. I prefer reaching for the Litra Glow button for color temperature and brightness.

As a result, I started using the Litra Glow a lot to take pictures of my Tamagotchi set. If you find that you’re creating TikTok videos or Instagram Reels to deal with the monotonous doldrums of our lives still in a pandemic, it might be time to consider a lightweight, adjustable selfie light like the Litra Glow.
