A documentary series is in the works that will provide viewers with a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of some of the best golfers on the planet. The PGA Tour and the governing bodies of the four major men’s tournaments are all aboard this series, which will cover the 2022 season.
The main winners including Colin Morikawa, Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth and Sergio Garcia are all of them. The current men’s player, Jon Ram, is not participating at the moment, although the planet’s leading amateur, Keita Nakajima, prepares to play in the major tournaments for the first time.
“We are thrilled to bring golf’s leading organizations and players together in this first-of-its-kind partnership and an unparalleled window to life on the Tour,” said Brandon Rigg, Netflix Vice President of Documentary and Untitled Series. “Our members will love getting to know the players and characters as well as the famous venues along the way. Even the most devoted golf enthusiast has never seen the sport this way.”
The show will be co-produced with Box To Box Films (who stands behind , and another major sports documentary series on Netflix) and Vox Media Studios. The PGA Tour and the governing bodies of major companies certainly hope that this series can do for golf what Formula 1: Driving to survive I did for the highest level of motorsport.
It was this show that attracted new audiences to Formula 1 and greatly boosted the sport’s popularity in the United States. While golf continues to rank higher in the United States, documentaries may help attract younger viewers as well.
