Peacock’s ‘Bel-Air’ reimagines the origin story of The Fresh Prince in the first trailer

Bel Air, The modern-day peacock reinterpretation of The New Prince of Bel-Air, will premiere on February 13, the broadcast company announced on Monday and shared a trailer for the first time. And Bel Air Reimagines the classic ’90s sitcom as an hour-long drama series. All the main characters from the original comeback, including Uncle Phil and Carlton, although they may not be what you remember them. This is even more evident with Carlton who shyly comes up in the trailer. Fortunately, Jazz, Will’s best friend, seems sincere in his inspiration.

The project was inspired by film writer and director Morgan Cooper. Both Cooper’s creation and the Peacock series are based on the original premise of new prince, using Will’s flight from West Philadelphia to Bel Air to tell a story about second chances, race, and class. Will Smith’s Westbrook Studios produced the series, with Cooper serving as director, co-writer, and executive producer. He told Smith in 2019 an idea Bel Air Came to him while driving on Highway 71. He was thinking about the original show when he drove a tunnel and hit inspiration. “I knew I had a story to tell,” he said at the time.

Peacock will release the first three episodes of Bel-Air on Super Bowl Sunday, with weekly episodes to follow. The series is currently scheduled to run for two seasons.
