Samsung Portable Free Projector focuses and levels automatically

Samsung is making more moves in the portable projector market with its new Freestyle model. It weighs just 1.83 pounds, and with the help of autofocus and auto-leveling features that will help align everything you’re watching, you’ll have plenty of options for where to place it.

You will be able to display content with a display size of 30 to 100 inches in 1080p resolution. It has a 180-degree stand, so you can point it toward the ceiling and watch things while you’re lying down. Alternatively, using a basic accessory, the Freestyle can be connected to a standard E26 headlight socket.

If you want to use the device on the go, there is an optional waterproof case and portable battery pack. You might not even need to plug it into your speakers, as Samsung promises 360-degree sound. Expect long-range voice control, too.

Freestyle will have a lot of the technology and personalization features of Samsung smart TVs, according to the company. Plus, you can attach a lens hood to light up the mood while playing your favorite music. The portable projector will be available for pre-order on Samsung’s website in the US starting today for $899. It will be available in other regions over the coming months.
