The Beachcroft Hotel Felpham – Penthouse Suite Review

I could never resist a hotel right by the sea, especially when it’s the Sussex coast – so even before the addition of the new penthouse suite there was plenty to tempt me to check out the Beachcroft Hotel in Villeham.

A short walk along the coast from the Bognor Regis, the hotel is also a great base for exploring the city’s attractions or for a quiet beach getaway, as well as heading to the South Downs and National Trust sites like Petworth.

And since we’ve tended to stick to self-catering escapes lately, I was intrigued to know if a hotel penthouse suite would be the best of both worlds – having our own space but with more luxury than your average vacation apartment…

Beechcroft Hotel, West Sussex: Vital stats

Part of the Best Western Signature Collection, the three-star hotel has 37 bedrooms, four luxury beach bungalows and a new two-bedroom penthouse suite (bookable with an adjoining room for a three-bed option).

Family rooms for up to four people are available, some with bunk beds and a private terrace, as well as dog-friendly rooms.

Breakfast is included, and there are several places to eat in the hotel – Monty’s Bistro, Tamarisk Restaurant, Blakes Bar & Beach Terrace.

There is also on-site parking, including electric vehicles charged by the hotel and beach huts. The hotel also rents bikes for adults at £10, which is included as part of a stay at the Beach Hut Suite.

Prices start from £195 for four people in a family sea view room, or from £334 for up to four in a penthouse suite.

Stay at the Beachcroft Felpham – my review

The first thing I thought of walking into the impressive penthouse suite was that I lived in apartments smaller than this.

With the three of us staying, we had the choice of two rooms – you get an extra room if you have up to six – but there was still plenty of room to spread out.
