The Yoga 9i Gen 7 is Lenovo’s best new consumer laptop

Unlike ThinkPad laptops, the yoga series Consumer-oriented, focusing on excellent multimedia user experience, pleasant working environment, and good looks.

The hallmark of this new Yoga 9i Tech 7 (+ $1,399) The nearly unbeatable soundbar that directs audio power directly to the user remains, no matter which five multi-mode positions the laptop is in. If you are wondering, the letter “i” corresponds to “Intel”.

We expect the sound quality to be at least on par with its predecessors, and this design is great mainly because of how the sound physics works.

The overall industrial design also got a great update. Lenovo has added curves. Holding this laptop should feel softer and smoother to the touch. Previously, Lenovo used sharp corners, but it may have felt a bit rough for some users. I don’t think there is a problem, though.

Lenovo has added a new key column to the right with quick functions such as Light/Dark Mode, High Performance, and other keys.

You can choose between 12y Intel Core i5-1240P or i7-1260P CPU, up to 16GB RAM, up to 1TB PCIe gen4 SSD. These specifications show that the laptop is not built for maximum creative design performance, but is designed to provide excellent multimedia and productivity speed.

There are no full-size USB ports but there are two Thunderbolt 4 ports with USB-C connectors.

The Yoga 9i takes advantage of the security features of the ThinkPad Professional line. For example, Human Sensing knows when you’re walking away and shuts itself down to prevent anyone else from using the computer.

Finally, you get premium 14-inch screen options with a full-resolution base model that reproduces 100% of the sRGB color gamut. But I’d recommend looking at the 3K and 4K OLED options which are probably great and support 100% of the P3’s color gamut. This is professional level color reproduction.

If your budget is a bit smaller, Lenovo has also launched affordable Yoga laptops, such as the Yoga 7i and Yoga 6.

Lenovo Yoga 7i . keeps some Sides of the Yoga 9i, it has 14- and 16-inch display options, but no speakers. The Yoga 6 is an affordable (US$749) 13-inch laptop made from 50% recycled plastic and aluminum if you want to help make the world a cleaner place.

By the way, it’s the 10th anniversary of the Lenovo Yoga line of products!
