two years ago, ovary Fans lost their minds when the anime adaptation was revealed Titi Kubo supernatural adventure Mango will return. The beloved anime ended in 2014 with the “Lost Substitute Shinigami” arc, just a few years before the manga closed things down in 2016. But now, Ichigo Kugisaki and the rest of his crew are back to finish the fight properly this time around.

It was written back by Studio Pierrot and directed by newcomer Tomohisa Taguchi (Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna), the ‘Thousand Years War of Blood’ arc modification was revealed at Japan’s Jump Festa on Saturday morning. Things look bad when there is a sudden spike in hollow kills in the living world, and even worse when a new enemy named Wandenreich appears and their leader Yhwach looking to wipe out the Soul Reapers. With his trusted Zanpakuto blade, Ichigo must do what is best to save the world and the Soul Society.

The “Blood War” arc is somewhat controversial, with fans split over whether it was the series’ best arc or one of its worst. Either way, they’d still like to see the series get a proper finale, and it looks like they’ll get their wish next October. With the return of the Japanese voiceover from the anime, and the return of composer Shiro Sagisu to deal with music, it looks like it will be an enjoyable return to the world that fans have grown into over the years.

During the reveal, Viz Media revealed that Kubo has acquired the global distribution rights to the anime. What’s more, Viz will allow fans to catch the full-dubbed English series 366 episodes, 13 seasons digitally for just $99 in February during Anime Month. Given that this will usually cost you $1,000, this is a good deal to take advantage of.
