CES is the event to watch if you love following technology news and want to see all the new developments in technology. It’s where companies showcase their latest products, technological advances as well as out-of-this-world concepts we can question.
in 2022 some In-person events happen again for those who hope to see, perhaps even touch and experience some of these tech shows showing themselves in real life. There are also plenty of virtual events, including from our main CES 2022 sponsor, Lenovo. thank you! You can follow Lenovo CES announcements at the official Lenovo CES 2022 Center and on Twitter using # lenovo hashtag, Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
However, if you’re wondering what CES 2022 has in store for you, here’s our rundown of what you might be able to expect from one of the world’s biggest tech fairs that’s currently set to kick off from January 5th to today. January 8, 2022.
Every year at CES, we see car manufacturers showcasing their latest car models. Given that we’re seeing an increased focus on electric vehicles and cars with autonomous capabilities, we expect we’ll see some showing in the advances that automakers have made in this area.
CES is also where some automakers showcase their concepts for what cars will look like in the future, from concept technology to concept designs, all of which should be interesting and exciting if you’re a car enthusiast.
TVs and monitors
Without fail, pretty much every CES event sees companies like Samsung, LG, Sony, and Panasonic (to name a few) showcasing the latest advances in display technology. What is interesting is that over the years, very few of these concepts have been translated into reality.
Take flexible screens, for example, which was a popular concept when it was first introduced, but has since led to phones with screens that fold, TVs with screens that can be rolled on and hidden when not in use, and more. We can also probably expect to see displays that are thinner than ever before, capable of producing brighter colors, more energy efficient, etc.
home entertainment systems
If you’re looking for a new set of speakers to match your brand new TV, CES certainly won’t disappoint. We’ve seen several companies launch new speaker and home entertainment systems at CES, and CES 2022 shouldn’t be much different. If anything, we expect we’ll see more smart speakers from traditional speaker makers.
We’re talking about speakers that come with digital assistants built into them, like Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant. We also expect to see more wireless speakers that will support features like live streaming or the ability to play it wirelessly using protocols like Apple’s AirPlay 2.
Don’t be surprised if we also see a slew of announcements from headphone manufacturers eager to flaunt the latest in portable audio technology.
Smart home gadgets are also another popular genre at CES, especially as the world becomes increasingly connected. We’ve seen all kinds of smart devices launched at CES in the past, from smart home appliances like ovens that can be controlled with your smartphone or smart speaker, home security cameras, smart toilets, and refrigerators that can remind you to buy food when you’re running low. Video doorbell, smart lighting, and more.
The digital health space is also somewhat loosely associated with smart homes, and it is also one of the places to pay attention to. In the past, we’ve seen devices like smart bath mats that can weigh you down and help you track your weight.
We’ve also seen tools like smart toothbrushes that can help you brush your teeth more efficiently, and also play up the process so kids are more careful about keeping their teeth clean.
We wouldn’t be surprised if companies also announced new wearables and fitness trackers designed to keep them fit.
What would CES be without new computers, right? If you are looking forward to new desktops and laptops powered by the new 12th generation Intel Core processors, also by MediaTek and Qualcomm PC chips. CES is where a lot of companies take the opportunity to reveal new computer systems that will eventually be released throughout the year.
We expect to see new laptops from the usual suspects like Lenovo, Dell, Acer, ASUS, Samsung, LG and more, so whether you’re looking for an inexpensive portable laptop, a desktop system for work and school, or powerful gaming hardware, you should There will be something for everyone.
Smartphones and Tablets
While MWC is probably the best place for smartphone makers to announce new mobile devices, some are taking the opportunity at CES to reveal some upcoming mobile devices. Some might use CES to reveal the concepts they’re working on, some of which could eventually become a reality, and some that’s cool enough that we hope it becomes a reality.
CES 2022 will be the first in-person event to take place after organizers took a break from it earlier this year. If you’re planning to attend the event itself, there will be plenty of things to see, touch and experience, but if you weren’t there, don’t worry because we’ll cover some of the best and coolest things we’ll encounter on the show, so stay tuned!
