Zillow has updated its iOS 15 iPhone and iPad apps with SharePlay support, letting you browse homes with other people on Facetime, the company announced. iOS users can start a group FaceTime call and then enable SharePlay to browse Zillow’s photo galleries so everyone on the call can see the feature.
According to Zillow, “Americans love to surf Zillow – mostly along with someone else – and now they have a new way to do it.” “Using the Zillow app on their iPhone or iPad, home shoppers can now search and browse listings of homes and rentals for sale in a seamless, synchronized experience with family, friends, or a real estate agent.”
Zillow said 86 percent of users are browsing homes with a partner, wife or companion at home, so the new feature makes sense if you can’t be together in person. It’s also a “great new way for real estate agents to connect with clients,” said David Beetle, chief technology officer at Zillow.
To use this feature, each participant will need to be running Zillow on an iPhone or iPad running iOS/iPadOS 15.1 or later. Users can search for different sites on Zillow and browse the available lists with content sync. Rival real estate app, Redfin, introduced a similar feature in October.
